During the pandemic, I created the YouTube channel "Mundo de Samu" as an audiovisual experimentation platform. There, I explored various techniques of lighting, framing, color grading, and editing, always with the goal of honing my skills and continuing to create, even during a period of low work demand.
The channel was a space where I developed small stories and sketches of up to 3 minutes, often based on storytelling techniques and transitions that I found interesting and wanted to replicate. I also tested the use of gimbals, steadicams, and the application of visual effects, which I later incorporated into professional projects.
One of my most challenging projects on the channel was creating a 3D Cinema animation, inspired by the style of Universal Studios, where I developed an animated Earth for the channel’s introduction. This process, despite hardware limitations at the time, was a great learning experience and a creative differential that I now apply to other works.
This experimentation space was crucial for me to keep practicing my skills during the pandemic, and many of the concepts tested there were later applied in client projects.
